Difference between
Taoism and Islam, Islamic point of view;
Taoism;
Taoism is about the
Tao. This is usually translated as the Way. But it's hard to say exactly what
this means. The Tao is the ultimate creative principle of the universe. All
things are unified and connected in the Tao.
All things in the world come from being. And being comes from non-being.
(form comes from formlessness)?
Islam;
One of the newest and greatest scientific discovery of the 21st century is the knowledge obtained about Higgs Mechanism. Like it says "form comes from formlessness" the science today has established the facts that Higgs Mechanism is such which gives mass (form) to the formless matter like photon or light. The Quran confirms this mechanism;
(41:10) He placed on it stabilizers (mountains) made it productive and He calculated its provisions in four days to satisfy the needs of all its inhabitants.
(41:11) Then He turned to the sky when it was still gas and said to it and to the earth "Come into existence willingly or unwillingly." They said "We come willingly *(Higgs Mechanism)."
*Missing word “Higgs Mechanism” or Hyagis Allalia their respective gv’s are 1025 & 477. (41:10-11) 10 + 11 = 21. 41 21 477 1025 = 2169198475 x 19. This Mechanism gives mass (weight) to the matter, and is the very latest scientific discovery. The temporal connection suggests that this event happened historically, indeed it did. The Tao is half a story
the creative principle explains the repeating of the creations, like humans as
we see it reproducing more humans (this repeat of what already is there a male
and female human). But Tao does not
talk about the initiation process where for example the first human (Adam) came
from. Quran tells us that God
creates and repeats;
[30:11] GOD is
the One who initiates the creation and repeats it. Ultimately, you will be
returned to Him.
[30:27] And He is
the One who initiates the creation, then repeats it; this is even easier for
Him. To Him belongs the most sublime similitude, in the heavens and the earth,
and He is the Almighty, Most Wise.
Quran also talks about
the above verses being true and that if they were false and the initiation was
not required then this is an example of "No smoke without fire", thus there
would have been no repeating.
[34:49] Say, "The
truth has come; while falsehood can neither initiate anything, nor repeat it."
Taoism;
The Tao is not God and
is not worshipped. Taoism includes many deities, that are worshipped in Taoist
temples, they are part of the universe and depend, like everything, on the Tao
Islam;
The nature and the
creation is manifestations of God but they are not deities.
There is only one deity in Islam which Muslims worship and that is our
God the creator of the heavens and earth;
[6:102] Such is
GOD your Lord, there is no god except He, the Creator of all things. You shall
worship Him alone. He is in control of all things.
Idol worship
unforgivable sin in Islam;
[4:116] GOD does
not forgive idol worship (if maintained until death),* and He forgives lesser
offenses for whomever He wills. Anyone who idolizes any idol beside GOD has
strayed far astray.
Authors note; There is
not much one can say in Islam regarding Taoism because Islam believes in God
while Taoism does not. While Taoism
include worshiping deities, while Muslims has no other deity than God and in
Islam worshiping other than God is the greatest sin.
Taoism is based on Chinese philosophy while Islam is based on the word of
God and the belief system with its rules and regulation based on this word the
Quran (The Final Testament). Taoism
belief in Tao where being is created from non-being, however Muslims believe
that everything came from a being that being is God.
