Abraham Tested;

By Ijaz Chaudry

 Abraham was put to test as shown in the following verse;

 [2:124]  Recall that Abraham was put to the test by his Lord, through certain commands, and he fulfilled them. (God) said, "I am appointing you an imam for the people." He said, "And also my descendants?" He said, "My covenant does not include the transgressors."

 But what was this test, the following verse clarifies what the test was;

 [21:73]  We made them imams who guided in accordance with our commandments, and we taught them how to work righteousness, and how to observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and the obligatory charity (Zakat).  To us, they were devoted worshipers.

 These (21:73)  were the commandments mentioned in 2:124, with what Abraham was tested with…

 Here is the proof;

 21 73 2 124 = 1143796 x 19 or 21 73 2 124 / 190 = 114379 / 6

The Temporal connection is that 21:73 is left most which means the context of this verse is more recent and 2:124 is right most which means it is historical or it happened later. Indeed when you read these two verses you will realise that 21:73 happened earlier than 2:124 because 2:124 starts with the word “Recall” which in essence confirming the fact that some event has already happened before this verse and indeed that event is mentioned in 21:73.

 Position 6 describes “Caution”, indeed there is caution involved when one interprets 21:73. 21:73 encompasses large area. Abraham was tested with the commandments which are all mentioned in the Quran please read article “What commandments did Abraham fulfil as a test?”

The Level is 5 which is Theme “Detailing information” indeed (2:124) context has been detailed out through this code, which is the “test” Abraham went through is mentioned in (21:73) this has been done through the coding of the Miracle of 19.
