By Ijaz Chaudry

AM - Al-Muzzammil

[Quran 75:16] Do not move your tongue to hasten it.  [Quran 75:17-19] It is we who will collect it into Quran. Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran. Then it is we who will explain it.

AM - As the title suggest SBO have interpreted these verses to say that Muhammad was not allowed to explain the Quran. And that is based on [Quran 75:16].

At the time when Dr Rashad Khalifa was alive, Hadith and Sunna was big on agenda. And these two books were totally embedded in the minds of the traditional Muslims. This could have been seen as an imputes for Dr Rashad Khalifa's to translate (Quran 75:16) the way he did and encapsulating the idea that prophet Muhammad was forbidden from explaining the Quran. By doing that it would have shun the traditional Muslims.

As already discussed each messenger comes for each cause. Abraham for idol worshipers, Lot for Homosexuals. Their messages had different intensities. Similarly at the time of Dr Rashad Khalifa, Hadith and Sunna was paramount. And Dr Rashad Khalifa was influenced by that environment. However, since Dr Rashad Khalifa things have moved on and there are many liberal minded Muslims, who follow the Quran to certain degree, this was partly due to the efforts of Dr Rashad Khalifa. Therefore a messenger today will have different angle on things.

Today with the help of the Miracle of 19, we can prove what (Quran 75:16) is not referring to prophet Muhammad. Please see the code below;

[Quran 75:16] Do not move your tongue to hasten it.

Geometric value of Nabi (prophet) is 62 and geometric value of Rasool (messenger) is 296. When we concatenate this with chapter/verse (75:16) we get complete multiple of 19;

62 296 75 16 = 32787764 x 19;

Indeed this code confirms that (Quran 75:16) is not addressing Muhammad because the code does not work with the geometric value of Muhammad 92, in any format. Instead it works with the geometric values of prophet and messenger.

The code verifies that all prophets and messengers were encouraged to wait get inspired take their time and deploy all the resources before delivering the message. These especially include inspiration from God and angels. Hence, usage of the word "we" in the following verses (Quran 75:17-19), include all entities including prophets and messengers which helped collect and explain "Quran" (message).

Notice the word used in (Quran 75:17) is not "The Quran" but it is "Quran". The word "Quran" has already been explained in my earlier page "*Role of Prophet Muhammad". Very briefly speaking "The Quran" is the original Quran revealed to prophet Muhammad and "Quran" is collection of message from the Quran in a script form (Quran 21:10).

The following verse clearly tells us that the messengers do explain the Quran;

(Quran 5:19) O people of the scripture our messenger has come to you to explain things to you after a period of time without messengers lest you say "We did not receive any preacher or warner." A preacher and warner has now come to you. GOD is Omnipotent.

(Quran 6:65) Say "He is certainly able to pour upon you retribution from above you or from beneath your feet. Or He can divide you into factions and have you taste each other’s' tyranny. Note how we explain the revelations that they may understand."

(Quran 6:65) in this verse God is instructing the messenger to warn people. We know this fact because at the start of this verse God is instructing a human being to say or give the message from the rest of the verse.

How do we know that it is a human, we know that for two reasons, one, when humans speak we can hear them and this is a instruction for humans. This is because of what the context of the verse is suggesting strongly a message to the disbelievers. Two we cannot hear angels so this instruction cannot be for angels.

So how do we know if the messenger is explaining in this verse? We know this by the statement in this verse which is in bold italics. Our God is Just God, and He gives credit wherever it is due. Since the messenger participated in delivering the warnings he deserves the recognition and hence the messenger is included in this statement.

(Quran 7:32) Say "Who prohibited the nice things GOD has created for His creatures and the good provisions?" Say "Such provisions are to be enjoyed in this life by those who believe. Moreover the good provisions will be exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrection." We thus explain the revelations for people who know.

(Quran 7:32) similarly the messenger is included in the statement in bold italics.

(Quran 13:7) Those who disbelieved say "If only a sign could come down to him from his Lord. You are simply a Warner - every community receives a guiding teacher.

The role of a teacher in a class room is to explain the subject matter to the pupils. Therefore (13:7) confirms the fact that messengers do explain.

Conclusion: When Dr Rashad Khalifa came it was a different environment from what it is today. Therefore, his message was very much tailored for that environment. We have gone through that period, there is no urgency to adapt the message for particular group, now the message is global, much like the economy of the world. It is a shame that the followers of Dr Rashad Khalifa are still adhering to those old ideas. Quran is a dynamic book which caters for new generations. There are sufficient examples in the Quran which amply suggest that messengers do explain the Quran, like the confirmation in the main text.
